National Catholic Schools Week News and Events

Catholic Schools Week LogoCatholic Schools Week is one of the most important times of year for Catholic schools in the United States. It is an opportunity for these schools to share the amazing things that they do for children and to celebrate their accomplishments. With so much going on all over the country, it is a great opportunity to learn about what other schools and dioceses are doing well.

If you work in a Catholic schools, there is no doubt that you have some amazing plans to celebrate and promote your school. (If you are still searching for ideas, make sure you check these Catholic Schools Week 2011 Ideas and Activities). In addition to what you have planned, take some time to check out with other schools are doing. This week should be seen as an opportunity to share ideas and celebrate each other’s accomplishments.

Catholic Schools Week and Social Media

There are a couple of Catholic Schools Week hubs that you should follow this week. The Advocates for Catholic Schools from the Alliance for Catholic Education has a great week of updates planned that you can follow on their Advocates for Catholic Schools website, Facebook page, or by twitter. They plan to share news, reflections, and inspirational information for Catholic school leaders this week.

Nick Senger of Catholic School Chronicle has been posting some great resources on his website as well as his twitter stream. He is a must follow for Catholic school supporters.

Catholic Schools Week News Updates

If you are interested in getting every update possible from around the web, then Google has a great tool for you. Set up a Google Alert for Catholic Schools Week and receive every mention of the words “Catholic Schools Week” in news articles, blogs, and web pages.

Here is how:

1. Go to www.google.com/alerts (or Google “google alerts”)
2. Type the words “catholic schools week” with quotations marks into the search terms field.
